Jessie Canterbury

Jessie Canterbury 75 of Dingess passed away Sunday September 17, 2006 in Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Born May 23, 1931 in Dingess, WV he was the son of the late Joseph Canterbury and Elizabeth Ferrell Canterbury. Mr. Canterbury was also preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Dennis. One sister, Bessie Ward. Survivors include a brother, William Canterbury of Dingess. Five sisters; Ada Canterbury of Dingess, Gold Marcum of Laurel Creek, Bertha Collins of Kentucky, Mary Ginter of Mannsfield, Ohio and Brookie Murphy of Columbus, Ohio. Three special nephews, Jerry and David Marcum and Frederick Canterbury. One special niece, Lenora Canterbury. Mr. Canterbury is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be Tuesday September 19, 2006 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M at Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist Church at Dingess with special services starting at 7:00 P.M with Rev. Cornelius Lackey. Funeral Services will be Wednesday September 20 at 12:00 Noon with Rev.
