Jesse (Lee) Marcum

Jesse Lee Marcum,83, of York, SC formerly of Logan, WV passed away at his residence on Friday, September 29, 2006. Lee Marcum was born on June 10, 1923 in Logan, WV. He was a member of the Atensville Old Regular Baptist Church and a former coal miner. His father Hubert Marcum, two infant daughters, two sisters Mary Browning and Pasty Lesher precede him in death. Surviving include his wife of 56 years Margie Marcum of York, SC and his mother Sara Marcum of Madison, WV. Also surviving are his 5 children and spouses: Brenda and Steve Thabet of Huntington, WV; Patricia and Danny Bryant in Rock Hill, SC; Diane and Greg Doss, Rock Hill, SC; Terry and Olive Marcum, York, SC; Jerry and Iis Marcum, Los Angeles, CA. His surviving grandchildren are Jessica Myers, Amanda Doss, Stephanie Gleason, Meagan Marcum; Olivia, Leslie and Jonathan Marcum and two great grandchildren Katelyn Myers, Hailey Gleason. Lee Marcum was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many; he will be sadly missed. James Funeral Home in Logan is in charge of the arrangements. On Tuesday October 3rd, Family and friends may show their respect from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Dwight Wiley will conduct the services at James Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Wednesday October 4th.
