Jerry Keith Frye, Age 69, of Rum Creek, West Virginia passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s surrounded by Family and Friends on February 19th, 2026.
Jerry was born in Logan, WV on September 6th, 1956 to Mary Browning and Woodrow Frye.
Jerry worked as a Construction/Iron worker for 25 years.
Jerry loved his grandkids and his great-grandkids. In his free time, he loved watching Western and Gold-Rush. He loved taking walks with his grandchildren and great grand children and taking care of his garden.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Norma Kay Frye. His son, Brandon Frye. His Sisters Janice Bumgarner (Bill Bumgarner), Anita Masters, and Lacy Miller (Randy Miller) His Brothers Bill Frye ( Alice Frye), Kenny Frye (Ahnie Frye). His Sister in Law’s Barbra Ooten (Wendell Ooten) and Lisa Ellison (Larry Ellison). His Brother in Law’s, Ronnie Hipshire (Connie Hipshire) and Shannon Hipshire (Tammy Hipshire). His grandchildren Jaida Matthews (Shawntez Matthews), Ronnie Frye (Kelsey Frye), Michael Russell, Ryder Frye, Aaliyah Frye, Lillian Frye, and Addison Vance. His Great-Grandchildren Trey Matthews, Kendrick Matthews, and Rynley Frye.
He is also survived by a special Cousin Jackie Pemberton and two special friends, Edger Johnson and Michael Carroll. And a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends whom he loved dearly.
Jerry is preceded in death by His father, Woodrow Frye and Mother, Mary Browning. His Mother and Father in Law, Lee and Donna Hipshire. His Step-Father Carl Browning. His Step-Father in Law Don Curry. His son Jerry Keith Frye 2nd and Daughter, Crystal Jo Frye.
Jerry’s services will be held at Akers-James Funeral Home on February 22nd, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm. Services will be at 1pm. Services will be conducted by Roscoe Chafin. He will be buried at Chambers Cemetery at Rum Creek.
