James Podunavac

James Podunavac Sr., 67 of Chapmanville passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born November 9, 1948 in Boone County, WV a son of the late William and Betty Brown Podunavac. In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by a sister Tiny McComas. James was a coal miner of nearly 40 years working for Arch Coal Company. Survivors include his sons Hunter (Sarah) Podunavac, James (Kris) Podunavac Jr. and daughter Traci Podunavac. Two sisters Barbara Gardner and Linda Bishop. Grandchildren Lillie Podunavac, Fallon Baer, James Podunavac III, Joe Woody, Lexi Woody and Bristol Woody. One great grandchild Saylor Baer. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Akers-James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
