James Douglas Canterbury

James Douglas “Dougie” Canterbury born August 1, 1966 passed away September 27 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center. Dougie was a long-time mechanic who enjoyed camping, mud running, and spending time with his family & friends. Dougie is preceded in death by his son Travis Canterbury, Brother Wayne “Himo” Canterbury, Sister Kathy Hanners, His Father and Mother James “Jim” Canterbury and Donna Canterbury. Dougie is Survived by his loving and devoted spouse Jamie Sheppard. His sons James “J.D.” Canterbury & Randy McNeely. Daughters Samantha “Faye” (Shannon) Payne, Nevada “Tiny” (Kenneth) Kelley, Cheyenne “Pig” Canterbury & Montana “Little Momma” Canterbury, Step Daughter Brianna Baisden, 8 Grandchildren Adam Canterbury, Elva and Raymond Kelley, Heavenly, Noah, Aurora, Jasmine, and Mindy Payne and host of family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday October 5, 2018 at the Canterbury Cemetery at Dingess, WV.
