Jack Martin

Jack Martin Jr., 71 of Holden departed this life Sunday April 30 at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan. He was born November 4, 1945 in Henlawson, WV to the late Jack Martin Sr. and Myrtle McDowell Martin. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by 2 infant brothers. Jack retired from the coal mines in 1976 due to injury and he loved his dog Lucky. Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife Grace Martin; son, Jack (Crystal) Martin III; daughter, Elizabeth Burchard; sister, Rose Stedman; grandchildren, Shawn Martin, Reese Martin, Gracie Jewell Martin, Katelin Moeller, Destiny Vance, and David Vance. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 3 at Akers-James Funeral Home in Logan with Rev. Layton Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow in Guyan Memorial Gardens at Godby.
