Irvin Ray Blair, 70 of Neibert, WV went to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from home. He was born August 3, 1950, the son of the late Tilden and Mae Wells Blair. Irvin was a 1969 graduate of Man High School and was employed by Pittston Coal Company until his retirement. He was a faithful and proud member of the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the loves of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice “Faye” Dowden Blair; His son, Thomas H.E. Blair; Brothers, Thelmar Blair and Tilden “Ed” Blair; Sisters, Thelma Mae “Nan” Blair and Tina Morgan; Brother in law, Ray Blevins; Nephews, Bill, Britt, Tony, and Rodney Blair. Irvin had a great love for giving and never met a stranger. Whether he was making food, giving gifts, or sharing a kind word, he had a way of making everyone feel loved. Those left to cherish his memory are his son; Ray (Terri) Blair; Grandsons, Thomas (Kellyn) Blair and Tyler (Taylor) Blair; Great grandchildren, Connor, Chandler, and Ryver; Brothers, Joe (Mary) Blair and Tommy (Deanna) Blair; Sisters, Irene Belcher, Mary (Clifton) Turkale, Louise Blevins, Alice (Don Hurley) Blair, and Patricia (Tom) Burress; Sister-in laws Leona Blair, Georgia Herrel, and Peggy Blair. A very special Nephew who he loved like a son and who always gave so much time and love to Irvin, Randy Blair; His caregiver and friend Karen Story who he loved very much; Irvin’s long time gracious neighbors, Dave and Jean Burgess and Clifford and Sharlene Ooten. Also, many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Irvin’s wonderful heart and unmeasurable love will be missed greatly by his family and all who knew him. Pastor Baxter Toler will be officiating, and burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.
