Geraldine Butler

Geraldine Mullins Butler, 86, of Holden, WV departed this life on October 1, 2017 to go to her eternal home with her Heavenly Father. Geraldine was born February 20, 1931 to the late Joe and Janie Mullins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Butler, her twin brother, Jennings Mullins, and her brothers Frank Mullins and Bobby Mullins. Geraldine was a homemaker and a faithful member at Central United Baptist Church and lived her life for the Lord and dedicated herself to helping others. She leaves behind two children, Joe (Jeanette) Butler of Scott depot, WV and Cathy (Tom) Pack of Holden, WV, grandchildren Shawna Adkins of Logan, Christy Elkins of Chapmanville, Tony Butler of Holden, Justin Pack of Holden, and Joe M Butler, and 15 great grandchildren including a special great granddaughter, Angelina Butler, who was her pride and joy. She also leaves behind a special extension of her family, the Codispoti's, whom she loved as her own and two of her special caretakers, Gloria Maynard and Nina Mahone. Surviving family are Lorene Williamson of Verdunville, Barbra Kral and Shelby Sullin of Illinois, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 5, 2017 at 1pm at Central United Baptist Church with Randy Skeens officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members and close friends. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6pm-9pm at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan.
