George W. Muncey 72 of Shamrock was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday August 17, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington.
He was born March 25, 1934 at Nighbert, a son of the late William and Thelma Muncey. He was also preceded in death by Three Brothers: Charles, Danny Joe and Kenneth.
He was an electrician with Amherst Coal Company for 33 years, a veteran of the Korean War and a devoted member of the Bethel Chapel at Orville.
A loving dad and papaw, he is survived by One Son: George David of Holden, Judith (Don) Wooten of Yuma, Three Grandsons: Christopher Muncey of Crooked Creek, Shaun Clay of Teays Valley and Joshua (Tiffany) Clay of Cross Lanes, Two Granddaughters: Taylor (TC) Muncey of Alderson and Alexandria Wooten of Yuma, Five Brothers: Dennis of L.A., Richard (Brenda) of Ethel, Emmett of OR, Claude (Dottie) of Huntington and Larry (Debbie) of Cora, Four Sisters: Frances Story of Texas, Claris Muncey of MD., Brenda (Charles) Bowler of FL. and Joyce (Kenneth) Moses of NV and One very special friend: Loretta Muncey of Holden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 22, 2006 at James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith McClung officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Military Graveside Rites.
