Fred Collins

Fred Collins 74 of Henlawson passed away Friday April 18, 2008 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born February 26, 1934 in Mingo County. He was the son of the late Roy and Owen Spry Collins. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife: Letha Workman Collins and One Sister: Murial Tackett. He was a retired Coal Miner and a member of the Verdunville Church of God. Survivors include his companion Lucille Tomblin of Mud Fork, One Son: Barry Collins of Logan, Two Brothers: Rex Collins and Ernest Collins both of Ohio, Grandsons: Brett Collins of Logan and Thomas Hodge of Lawton, Oklahoma and Great Granddaughter: Hailey Collins of Logan. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barney Goins and Rev. Michael Hartwell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be Monday April 21, 2008 from 6-9 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Brett Collins, Lenford Lee Tomblin, Ronnie Scaggs, Scottie Collins, Frank Butcher and Timmy Carter.
