Evelyn Sue Nelson

Evelyn S. Nelson, 74, of Peach Creek, WV, has fought a long courageous battle with cancer and with her loving family by her side, went to be with her lord on December 5th, 2020. Evelyn served the community for several decades as a Hair Stylist in the town of Logan. She was born August 1, 1946 the daughter of the late Howard & Mabel Nelson. In addition to her parents so was also preceded in death by her son, Frankie Morris; brothers, Freddie Nelson, Kenneth Nelson, Willard Nelson, Willis Nelson, Billy Nelson, and Richard Nelson; and sister, Naomi Nelson Ferguson. Evelyn was beautiful outside as well as inside with a heart of gold. She will be in our hearts forever and will be sadly missed in all of the lives she touched over the years. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Pennington; daughter, Debbie Morris; son, Kenny (Tammy) Morris; grandchildren, Wesley Morris, Rachel Mays, Brittney Chapman, and Shaun Chapman; brothers, Teddy Nelson, Darrell Nelson, Harold Nelson, and David Nelson; sister, Linda Nelson Miller, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, WV.
