Ethel “Sue” Hall, 60, of Whitman passed away Friday December 3, 2021, at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born November 18, 1961, to Claude and Sylvia May of Wilkinson. Sue was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Canma.” She also enjoyed watching old TV shows like Gunsmoke, and spending time with her cats and dog.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Orville Hall, two daughters Kim (James) Goodman of Logan, Melissa Hall of Whitman, three grandbabies Grayson, Liam, and Hadley Goodman of Logan, seven siblings Donna (David) Justice of Switzer, Joann Ellis of Holden, Charlotte (James) Tabor of Hinton, John (Regina) May of Holden, Ray (Beth) May of Wilkinson, Ronnie May of Shamrock, Rose (Jimmy) Stacy of Whitman, one sister-in-law Vet (Tommy) Vinson of Hendersonville, NC, and one brother-in-law Phillip (Penny) Hall of Chester, VA, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother Sylvia May, father Claude May, and her siblings Dallas May, Sandra Stevenson, Ricky May, and Jimmy Lovejoy.
A short visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7th at 12pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Akers-James Funeral Home who has been entrusted with her arrangements.
