Ervin Lee Workman, 59, of Dingess passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 in the Trinity Healthcare Services in Logan. He was born December 9, 1948 in Dingess to the late Charles E. Workman and Pauline Messer Workman. Ervin provided a great service for out country, serving in the Armed Forces. He was awarded the National Defense Service Metal. Ervin was also a beloved brother, father and grand-father. He spent the last part of his life dedicated to doing the Lord's work. Ervin made friends wherever he went. He is survived in death by his loving daughter, Beverley Sue Workman (Willis D.) Spry Jr. His beloved grandson, Joshua Spry. Ervin is also survived by his five brothers; Merrello (Tonya)Workman, Ricky (Cozy) Workman, Timothy Workman, Berrell (Amanda) Workman and Shannon (Katrina) Workman. Ervin is also survived by his niece, Shyanna Workman, but he thought of her as a grand-daughter. He is also survived by his two sisters; Bridget Workman (Willis Jr.) Marcum and Bobbie Jo Workman (Richard) Pasco. His half-sister, Brenda Workman (Sonny) Hogsett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. for the family. Friends may call from 7:00 until 11:00 P.M. at the Dingess House of Prayer. Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 23, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dingess House of Prayer with Rev. Van Prince Sr. officiating. The church doors will be open at 12:00 Noon before start of the services. Burial will be in the Marcum Cemetery at Dingess. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Ervin will be greatly missed by ALL who was touched by him throughout his life!
