Ernestine Smith, 80 of Crooked Creek departed this life Tuesday November 1 at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan.
She was born August 30, 1936 in Logan County to the late Henry Dick and Marie Conley Justice. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Smith Jr. and son, John Smith III.
Those left to cherish her memory include: 4 sons, Delbert (Donna) Queen of Crooked Creek, Tony (Sabrina) Queen of Florida, Kenneth Smith of Logan, Steve Smith of Charleston; daughter, Tina (Mike) Smith Dyson of North Carolina; sister, Teedy Justice Simpson of Ohio; sister-in-law, Joy Justice of Cleveland; 2 granddaughters that helped care for her, Tonya (Melvin) Williamson of Harts and Brandi (Ronald) Green of Man. Also left to cherish her memory are a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would also like to extend their gratitude to her extended family at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan.
Funeral services will held at 1 p.m. Saturday November 5 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Skeens officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday also at the funeral home.
