Eric Akers

Eric Akers, 48 of Man departed this life Friday May 12 at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston. He was born February 18, 1969 in Logan to the late Jack Akers and Joan Nelson Akers. Eric loved long car rides and he loved to swim. Those left to cherish his memory include: his brothers, Jack Akers II of Wilmington, NC, Shannon Akers of Lake, and Travis Akers of Madison; sisters, Marlyn Lewis of Danville, Debra Robinson of Lake, Barbara Brown of Lake, Jacqueline Bias of Danville, and Joann Meadows of Ripley. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday May 18 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday also at the funeral home.
