Elizabeth B. (Betty) Willis passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at the age of 101. Born in Harrison County, West Virginia, Betty graduated from Grafton High School and Salem College. She met her husband, Todd C. Willis, at Salem College and moved to his hometown of Logan, West Virginia, where she spent almost all her adult life. Betty taught English in the Logan County school system and regularly sponsored school clubs and chaperoned school events. Betty was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Logan and for many years was the decorator of the church. She loved entertaining, traveling, and attending the symphony and other cultural events.

Betty was predeceased by her husband and is survived by her children, Cole Fortney (Steve) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Taunja Willis Miller (Perry) of Charleston, and Bart Willis (Kellie Wooten-Willis) of Logan; by her grandchildren, Ashley Point (Dana) of Wilmington, North Carolina, Christa Fortney (Thad Miller) of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Rachael Miller of Morgantown; and the lights of her life, her great-grandchildren, Jackson, Davis, and Alex Cate Point of Wilmington, North Carolina.

In accordance with Betty’s request, there will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Chambers family cemetary at Cham, West Virginia.
