Elizabeth Adkins

Elizabeth Adkins, 88 of Logan, WV peacefully went to her heavenly home on October 30, 2023, at Trinity Health Care of Logan.

Liz was born February 15, 1935, to the late Alex and Julia Lezu. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Ooten, Julia Messer, Helen Lakatos, and Edith Pavelka; brothers Alex and George Lezu; and daughter Sharon Nelson.

She worked at Morrison’s Drive Inn for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Logan.

Liz is survived by her daughter, Karen (Jerry) Duncan of Logan; son, Sam (Linda) Adkins of Groveland, FL; sister, Irene Furrow of Holden; grandchildren, Jo (Mikey) Roberts, and Jeremy Duncan; great-grandchildren, Ryanna (Aaron) Herndon, Braxton Roberts, and Rylan Duncan; and one very special great-great-grandson who she loved dearly, Cayson Herndon. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Respecting her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service and dinner for family and friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Akers-James Funeral Home to help with the expenses.
