Edith Daugherty

Edith Daugherty 77 of West Logan passed away Saturday November 7, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 4, 1932 in Charleys Branch, Tn. She was the daughter of the late John and Marie Marlow Byrge. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Ernest Daugherty, daughter Maryetta Hammond and brothers James and Cleve Byrge. Survivors include her Sons Gene (Tressa) Daugherty and Leonard (Lisa) Daugherty both of Logan, Daughter Kathy (Steve) Merrifield of Dunbar, Sisters Cleta Byrge, Reba Sanders, Brothers Leoda Byrge, Marshall and Roger Marlow, Carl Byrge, Landle Byrge, Grandchildren John Hammond, Amy Pereia, Gene Daugherty II, Chris Daugherty, Kimberly Jewell, Taylor Daugherty and Ciara Daugherty. Great Grandchildren Brianna Hammond, Natasha Hammond, Corinna Hammond, Summer and Shaylan Jewell, Adam and Sebastian Pereira and Samuel Daugherty. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday November 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at james Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John E. Godby officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Wednesday November 11, 2009 at James Funeral Home at Aracoma.
