Edgar Jones

Edgar Jones, 66, of Holden passed away Friday October 27, 2006 in CAMC Memorial Division. Born March 3, 1940 in Martin Co., KY to the late Sylvester Jones and Polly Martin Jones. Preceding him in death was his son, Eddie Sylvester Jones. One brother, Vester Jones and two sisters; Marie Stover and Dorothy Gore. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Williams Jones. His nine children; Rodney Jones of Cambridge, Ohio, Kecia Williams of Omar, Anthony (Shavon) Shadd, Bruce Adams, Sherman (Lori) Jones of Logan, Mark (Rachael) Jones of Logan, Michelle Jones of Logan, Christopher Jones at home and Larissa (James) Maynard of Omar. Thirteen Grandchildren; Casey Williams, Amber Blankenship, Sherman Jones Jr., Joshua Jones, Cody Maynard, Miranda Jones, Jason Jones, Kaitlyn Jones, Jordan Maynard, Paige Marcum, Brooke Jones, Destiny "Crybaby" Jones and C.C. Marcum. Two great-grandchildren; Joshua Blankenship and Landon Blankenship. One brother, Callie (Dorothy) Jones of Tennessee and two sisters; Effie (Emory) Ross of Logan and Milla Jean (Paul) Mills of Michigan. Also a lifetime and special friend, Roger Clark of Michigan. Mr. Jones was a member and one of the founders of the Cherry Tree Church of God. Visitation will be Sunday October 29 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M at the Cherry Tree Church of God where special services will begin at 7:00 P.M with Rev. Nick Adams officiating. Funeral Services will be Monday October 30, 2006 at 2:00 P.M at the Cherry Tree Church of God with Bishops Gary Jarrells and Pete Maynard and Rev. Grover Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Sons and Other family members will serve as pallbearers.
