Earmel Messer

Earmel Messer Sr., 76 of Dingess, WV went home to be with the Lord on January 14 at his home. He was born March 20, 1941 to the late Richard and Hessie Messer. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: his brothers and sisters, Lawson Messer, James Messer, John L. Messer, Kathrine Newsome, Vergie Dillion, and Nancy Jones. Those left to cherish his memory include: his loving wife of 55 years, Alberta Messer; one sister, Jennie (Wayne) Conn of Lenore; five children, Earmel (Sharon) Messer Jr., Bobby Jo Messer of Breeden, Eddie (Ashley) Messer of Dingess, David Messer of Dingess, and Brenda Sue (Robert) McCoy of Matewan; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Nelson) Hall, Amber McCoy, Shaylee Messer, Jacob Messer, Whitney Messer, Bobby Messer, Ethan Messer, and Katlyn Messer; two great-grandchildren, Tucker Hall and Aleeah Hall. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday January 20 at Laurel Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Cornelius Lackey, James Ed Baisden, and Ray Messer officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Friends and family may call after 6 p.m. Friday January 19 also at the church.
