Earl Edward Bush

Earl Edward Bush, 64, of Whitman, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. He was the son of the late Raymond and Mira Bush of Whitman. Grandparents were the late George and Nan Mullins of Kentucky and William and Dicie Bush of Harts. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, Violet Sheppard and Sue Bush, one brother, Arlie Bush Sr. and one niece, Cyndi Gentry. Earl was a retired heavy equipment operator for 30 years. He worked at Hobet Mining and Arch Coal Companies. He loved his job and often referred to it as playing with life size Tonka toys. The last position he had was reclamation and it was his favorite. He loved making the landscape beautiful again the way God intended. He was a Christian and an active member of #20 Whitman Community Church for 32 years. He served as a deacon of the church for several years, Sunday school teacher for the teen boys, bassist for the church choir and the “Back Porch Singers” as the pastor often referred to them. He played bass guitar for the gospel group The Joyful Noise for several years and MRP Rock band before getting saved. He always had a love for music and shared that love with his family. Earl was the type of person who never met a stranger and everyone who met him never forgot him. He had a great sense of humor and was always making people laugh. He had a knack of finding humor in every situation. Most importantly he was a child of God and witnessed to everyone about what the Lord had done in his life. Surviving him are his wife of 33 years, Pamela Bush, two children Angela (Earl) Claycomb of Whitman and Nathan Bush at home, the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Kennedy Miller. Two brothers, Don (Marylin) Bush of Williamson and Ronald (Irene) Bush of Frazeysburg OH, one sister Joetta (Doug) Smith of Ceredo, WV several nieces and nephews, two special young men who were like his boys Josh Brown and Caleb Luther, his best friend who was always there when he needed help, Ritchie Hager and his grandpuppy, Daisy May who traveled with him everywhere he went.
