Doris Ellis

Doris V. Ellis 89, of Mt. Gay, West Virginia passed away October 15, 2017 at Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents Ballard & Bessie Ellis, brothers Riley, Edgar, Clifford and Roy Lee, sisters Edna, Lola, Iris, Florine, Nora, Eunice and Lura, son Larry, grand-daughter Amber Browning, daughter in law Janet Ellis, special nephew James “Tiny” Ellis, special friends Betty Gartin and Ruby Messer. Survived by children Bobby Ellis, Kathy “Skibo” Adkins, Regina “Greg” Browning, Eugene Fillutzy. Grand children Bridget “Carmon” May, Leanne “Danny” Hoyle, Jeff Adkins, Chris “Brittany” Adkins, Gregory “Ashley” Browning, Mike “Nancy” Fillutzy, Angela Fillutzy. 13 special great grandchildren, 3 special great great grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews and a special friend Sandy Gilman. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Services will be held on October 21st, 2017 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Reverend Roy Browning. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Family viewing will be at 10am, Friends at 11am, service at 1pm.
