Della Wells

Della Mae (Boots) Wells,72, of Lyburn went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 22, 2006 in CAMC General Division. She was born May 30, 1934 at Lyburn. She was a daughter of the late Rev. R.C. Burress and Dove (Harless) Burress. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William Wells. Two sons; Kenneth and Chester Wells and one granddaughter, LeAnn Gartin. Della was a homemaker and a member of Davies Branch Church on Madison Creek Rd. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Marlene (Gary) Hatfield of Chapmanville. Two sons; Gerald Wilson (Donna) Wells of Lyburn and William Marvin (Jessica) Wells of Davin. Two sisters; Delores Hannah of Lyburn and Naomi Foley of Mims, Fl. Three brothers; Rick (Betty) Burress of Mims, Fl., George (Ruth) Burress of Clinton, N.C., and Jerry Burress of Titusville, Fl. Eight grandchildren; Brittany Nicole, Gary Marshall II, Alyssa Danielle and Angel Michelle all of Chapmanville. Doris (Ronald) Barnett of Clarksville, Tenn., Ronnie Wells, Crystal Evans and Eldon Wells all of Lyburn. Four great-grandchildren; Dalton Barnett, Jacklynn Barnett both of Clarksville, Tenn. Joshua Evans and Summer Evans of Lyburn and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. A very special nurse of Heartland Nursing and Rehab. of Charleston, Tonya and her Staff. Three special friends; Becky and Paul Chambers of Lyburn and Sandra Grimmett of Verdunville. Visitation will be Wednesday October 25 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday October 26 at 11:00 A.M at James Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Mullins Cemetery at Lyburn. Pallbearers will be; Ronald Barnett, Troy Nickles, Jason Caldwell, Elden Wells, Tom Starky and Randy Miller. Della was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
