David Allen Morris

David “Moochie” Morris, 70, of Logan, WV husband of Kathy (Pauley) Morris passed away at home on Saturday, September 29, 2018. A graveside service will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Pecks Mill, WV on October 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with military honors. David was born April 4, 1948 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Rudy “Moochie” Morris of Pascagoula, MS and the late Bessie Lowe of Pecks Mill, WV. He is survived by his brothers Gary “Rocky” Morris of Newport News, VA, Bobby Morris of MS, Bernard White of NC and sister Robin White-Frye of Chapmanville, WV. Brothers and Sisters-in-law; Carol (Pauley) and Charles Rhodes, Vickie (Pauley) and Robert Hager of Logan, WV and David “Mick” Pauley (Brenda Hylton) of Butler, IN. He graduated from Logan High School in 1966 and served in the US Army from 1966-1968. Over the years he worked as a welder, a high voltage lineman and as an underground electrician in the coal mines. He was an avid reader of American military history and enjoyed sporting arms. He is also survived by two sons and their families, James Allen Morris (Jessica) of Bolt, WV and David Eli Morris (Deidra) of Ona, WV along with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
