Constance Kazee

d. October 5, 2010

Constance Sue Campbell Kazee, 65, of Wilkinson, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Tuesday evening, October 5, 2010, at Logan Regional Medical Center. Her final hours were spent with her loving husband Haskell. Connie as she was known was born on September 20, 1945 to the late Harry and Nona Spears Campbell of Holden West Virginia. She was a 1964 Logan High School Graduate. Also preceding her in death were her brothers William “Buck Shot” Campbell, Junior Campbell, Bernard Campbell, and Granville Spears and one sister Pauline Jones. Connie was a devout Christian and was a long time member of The West Logan Church of God knowing that at death, the physical body returns to dust, and the soul of the believer is welcomed into heaven according to John 3:16, which says, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Connie was a very positive minded person who gave support, strength and courage to family and friends. She worked as a cook several times during her life but mainly was a house wife and mother. She sat on the board of The Crippled Children’s Society and devoted many community service hours to Easter Seals and other organizations that benefit children. Her interests included family, gardening, reading and attending sports events to watch her granddaughter Megan cheer. She loved the outdoors especially the beach. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her daughter Helen. She was a loving wife to Haskell Lewis Kazee of Wilkinson, a cherished mother to two daughters Belinda Kay Kazee Wolford and Helen Delene Kazee both of Wilkinson. In addition “Nan” was deeply loved and respected by her grandchildren Megan Elizabeth Wolford, Noah Lewis Wolford, and Hunter Isaiah Wolford all of Wilkinson. In addition Connie has one surviving sister Jean Campbell May of Switzer, West Virginia and many beautiful nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday October 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the West Logan Church of God with Rev. Scottie Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. on Friday at the church. Online condolences may be sent to www.jamesfh.com. James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of the arrangements.
