With blessed assurance, Clarence Edward “Bud” Mullins Jr., 69, of Romulus, MI departed this life on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Born November 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Beatrice and Clarence Mullins Sr. of Verdunville. Bud was called to serve during the Vietnam War when he was eighteen years old. He served with honor in the First Infantry Division, also known as the “Big Red One”. One year later, he returned home on Christmas Eve. Bud was always thankful and proud that he was able to serve his country. After serving his country, Bud moved to Detroit and worked for General Motors until his retirement. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara; six sisters: Betty Jo Moore, Jeanetta Chart, Brenda Skibo, Sharon MeMuth, Pam White, and Carolyn Staton; and one brother, Fred Mullins. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the James Funeral Home Chapel in Logan with Rev. Randy Skeens officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014.
