Cherri Lynn Ross

Cherri Lynn Ross, 67, of Verdunville, West Virginia, passed away on March 24, 2026.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Cherri was known for her unwavering support and for being her children’s biggest fan, as well as for the love and joy she shared with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of over 45 years, Dean Ross; her daughter, Ashley Ross; her son, Dean (Mandy) Ross Jr.; her grandchildren, Avery, Liam, and Taylor; her sisters, Barbara Butcher and Glenna Spriggs; her brothers, Dennis (Shirley) Butcher, Robert Allen (Stefanie) Thorne, and Steve (Cybele) Thorne; her brother-in-law, Dale (Tina) Ross; her sister-in-law, Brenda Vannatter; along with a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Marie Butcher, and her sister, Sheila Lilly.

Services will be held at Akers-James Funeral Home in Logan, West Virginia, on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville.
