Charles White

Charles White 85 of Whitman passed away Friday January 7, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 24, 1925 at Lenore. He was the son of the late Ben and Celia Ann Meade White. Charles was a retired coal miner and he was also a WWII veteran. He was also preceded in death by 1 sister Margaret Williams and 2 brothers Jacob Mayhorn Jr. and Ray Lee Mayhorn. He loved to hunt and fish. He was also raised by his loving Step Father Jacob (Jake) Mayhorn. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Madelyn Mayhorn White, 2 sisters Sadie (Charles) Clay of Lincoln County and Lucinda (Nathan) Wiklliams of Wilkinson, many nieces and nephews and special neighbors Reather and Becky Gillman. Graveside services will be held Monday January 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Highland Memory Gardens with Rev. Nick Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
