Charles Dean Wellman

Charles Dean "Picklebean" Wellman A.K.A. Ol' Man 66 of Dingess went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1944 at Dingess to the late James P. and Martha Elkins Wellman. He was preceded in death by five brothers Chester, Jessie, Jaycee, James and Taylor and four sisters Gladys Deskins, Lillie Mae Stapleton, Edna Bell Oliver and Bernice Ousley. He is survived by four children Jerry Dwayne Wellman of Dingess, Charles Edward Wellman of Pasadena, Md., Mona Wellman Jones, Telyna Wellman of Lenore and the mother of his children Lola Wellman. He was also the very proud papaw of Hunter Jones and Kaleb Wellman both of Dingess, Mason Wellman of Lenore and Mack Osborne of Omar. He would like to say a special thank you to all those who fed him a meal or sit around to talk.And to his dialysis girls. He was a good papaw. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday January 1, 2011 at the Trace Church of God at Dingess with Rev. Sambo Ousley, the little preacher Curtis Collins and Rev. Bobby Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wellman Cemetery at Trace Hollow at Dingess. Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday December 31, 2010 at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
