Carron Sue Jones

Carron Sue Jones, 74 of Whitman departed this life Friday April 7 at Hubbard Hospice House South in Charleston. She was born September 1, 1942 to the late Noah Slack and Mary Hudnall Slack. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, James Jones and one brother, Jack Slack. Those left to cherish her memory include: her sons, Jason Jones of Whitman and Brian Scott (Nancy) Jones of Columbus, OH; daughter, Wendy (Kevin) Brewster of Bunker Hill, WV; brother, Everett (Dottie) Slack of Whites Addition; sisters, Mary Marcum of Hurricane, WV and Sandy Jackson of Man; grandchildren, Brooke Jones, Emily Brewster, and James Brewster. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday April 11 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Tim Secrist officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Friends and Family may call from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday also at the funeral home.
