Carol Sue Marcum, 63, of Lenore passed away Monday September 25, 2006. Born August 12, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Emory and Ida Wiley Bryant. Mrs. Marcum was the owner of the Dairy Delight in Lenore. Mrs. Marcum was also preceded in death by two brothers; Ronnie and Walter Bryant. Two sisters; EmilyAnn Meeks and Rosella Newsome. Two grandsons; Mark and Matthew Marcum and two granddaughters; Cathleen and Josophine. Her father-in-law, Charlie Marcum and mother-in-law, Emma Horn Marcum and one step-daughter, Judith and her daughter, Tonya. She is survived by her husband, John B. Marcum Sr. of Lenore. Two daughers; Tammy (Frankie) Waller of Fort Gay, and Daphne (Melvin) McNeely of Dingess. Four sons; John B. Jr (Deloris) Marcum of Dingess, Emory (Sylvia) Marcum of Lenore, Patrick Marcum of Lenore and Clayton Derek Marcum. Two step-daughers; Cathy Alexander and Cherrie (Steve) Hayward. Eight grandchildren; James, Valarie, Carolann, Emory II, Stephen, Donica, Matthew and Alexander. Three great-grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Five sisters; Gladys Kozee of Lenore, Jacquline Thatcher and Doris June Bryant of Dingess, Nellie Hensley of Harts Creek and Elizabeth of Texas. Four brothers; Frank Bryant of Dingess, Charles Bryant of Hazard, KY, Kenneth Bryant of North Carolina, and David Bryant of Columbus, Ohio. And lots and lots of nieces, nephews and many many friends and one special dog, Sassy. Visitation will be Wednesday September 27 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M at the Fellowship Baptist Church at Lenore. Special Services will be held at 7:00 P.M with Rev. Walter Harold Marcum officiating. Funeral Services will be held Thursday September 28 at 2:00 P.M with Rev. Joaquine Ooten Officiating. Burial will follow in the Lenore Memorial Gardens in Lenore. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfh.com James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of the arrangements.
