Brenda Dowden

Brenda Dowden, 69 of Scottown, OH departed this life Saturday March 18 at her residence. She was born March 8, 1948 in Logan, WV to the late Arnold Mullins and Josephine Collins Mullins. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her first husband, Danny Dale Maynard. Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband, Sherman Dowden; her sons, Jackie Maynard, Danny Dale Maynard II, Tommy (Darlene) Maynard, Tony Dowden, and Sherman Cabe (Gretta) Dowden; her daughter, Melisa (Michael) Keathley; sisters, Linda Carey and Draxie Craddock; grandchildren, Cristy, Richie, April, Danny Dale III, Jessica, McKinzie, Chelsey, Savannah, Autumn, Preston, Paige, and many great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday March 23 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Roscoe Rocky Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Friends may call from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday also at the funeral home.
