Bobby Joe Copley

Bobby Joe Copley, 64 of Rutledge, TN formerly of Crum, WV departed this life Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his home in Rutledge TN.

He was born September 12th 1961, at home in Mingo county West Virginia to Vicie Copley and the late Walter Copley.
He was a Coal Miner for 30 years and also loved to play musical instruments and rebuild old antique cars.

He is survived by his wife Joann (Young) Copley; mother, Vicie Copley of Dunlow WV; sons, Joey Copley of Columbus Ohio, Charles Walter Copley ( Sarah) of Pikeville KY, and Dewey Jordan Copley of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Stacey Masters of Taylor Michigan; stepchildren, Melissa Hurley. Michael Young. Aimee Young, Jennifer and Jordan; grandson, Austin Tyler Copley; granddaughter, Allyson and Addyson; step grandchildren, Jasmine Hurley, Kayla Hurley, Madison Young, Kylie Young; 5 step great grandchildren; brothers, Claude (Ozalene) Copley of Dunlow WV and Ronnie Copley of Kermit WV. He is also survived by his best friend, Junebug ( Sadie ) Vance. Bobby had a host of family, friends, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank UT hospice for there love and care of him at home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11am Sunday October 5, 2025, at the Mud Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Phillip Davis Of The Upper Room Church Of God, Morristown, TN officiating . The Burial will follow at the Canterbury Family Cemetery at Dingess.
The family will receive friend starting at 5pm on Saturday October the 4th at the church.
