Bobby Joe Collins

Bobby Joe “Porky” Collins 68 of Mudfork, West Virginia was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 26th 2020. Bobby was the son of the late Cleston and Geneva Collins of Mudfork, West Virginia and was born at Dempsey Branch Hollow on August 9th, 1951. Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Golden Lynn Collins and Terry Lee Collins. A special “Unc” and aunt Richard and Mona Collins. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Keener Collins-Faulkner. Children: Jeffrey Collins, “His Babygirl” BreAnna (Jeremey) Greene of Logan WV and Jeremy Collins of Copper River, Alaska. Brothers: Jimmy (Sue) Collins, Scotty Collins, and Frank (Kristen) Collins. Special nieces Jennifer (Danny) Dempsey, Heather (Bryant) Ben Collins, Taylor Goff, Talan Gibson, and a very special friend David Dempsey. Bobby was employed at Milne Pontiac from (1969-1974). State of WV DOH from (1974-1980). Island Creek Coal Company from (1981-1984), where he received his heavy equipment certification through CAT. He then worked at American Electric Power. While employed there he became a master mechanic certified by ASE. Bobby retired as fleet manager from AEP in 2006. Due to the CDC and the State of West Virginia’s recent mandate on public gatherings a Celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at a later date. Graveside Services will be Tuesday March 31st, 2020 at 2:00pm at Highland Memory Garden with Bishop Michael Hartwell officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be ‘Lil’ Dave Long and Austin Sybert. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Collins, Jeremy Collins, Jeremey Greene, Michael Collins, Gabe Collins, and Tanner Mullins.
