Blakelynn Gail New, newborn baby girl of Jonathan and Taylor New went to her heavenly home Saturday, April 18, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her great-great-grandmother, Lenore Blanche Burgess, great-great-uncle, Ted Ball, great-great-aunt, Edna Lucas, and great-great-aunt, Carol Ball.

Blakelynn is survived by her parents, Jonathan and Taylor New; her brothers, Carson Dean Cline, Tristan Kayne New, and Jonathan Hunter New; grandparents, Tony and Sonya Counts, Gladys New, Derrick and Brandi Collins, Angie New, Roy and Crickett Hendricks, Joe and Michelle Wingler, Dottie and Ron Chapin; aunts and uncles, Clint and Susie Burgess, Chester Ball, Joe and Nettie Ball, Olivia and Kevin Piercey, Kenny New, James and Joyce Ball, Ruby New, Marquetta New, Maggie Frazier, Sherry New, Shirley New, and Scott New. She is also survived by a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Akers-James Funeral Home, Logan, WV with Pastor Andrew Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 at the funeral home.
