Betty Jo McKenzie

Betty Jo McKenzie, 89 of North Mitchell Heights, formerly of Crooked Creek departed this life Monday, March 21, 2022, at Trinity Health Care Services of Logan.

She was born November 17, 1932, to the late James “Sam” and Velma (Pancake) Parsons. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McKenzie; brother, Richard (Joan) Parsons; sisters, Lillian (Infant), and Mae Lee Webb; son, James Allen Workman; daughter-in-law, Judy Workman Morris; and nephew, J.R. Webb.

Those left to cherish her memory include her granddaughter, Christy (Billy) Hall; great-grandson, Billy Hall III (Haley Chambers); great-great-grandchildren, Grayson Ridge Hall, Whitley Shea Hall, and Dawson Blake Murphy; niece, Shelia (Keith) Gates, nephew, David Zappia; and 2 very special friends, Mary Moore, and Renee Sheppard.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Vance officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Friday at the church.
