Bethania Mayhorn

Bethania Mayhorn, 71, of Whitman passed away Friday at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1939 in Mingo County a daughter of the late Willie and Frances Sammons Fields. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Jacob Mayhorn, 2 sisters Ruth Ann Stacy and Ruby Jean Fields. Survivors include her children Connie (Jody) Cox of Virginia Beach, Ronnie (Chris) Mayhorn of Whitman, Patricia (Jerry) Crum of Chauncey, Darren (Kelli) Mayhorn of Whitman and Jacob (Jodi) Mayhorn of New London. Grandchildren Chris Herndon, Angela McKinney, Krystal Eldridge, Andy Mayhorn, Brittany Mayhorn, Maci Mayhorn, Marcus Mayhorn, Asia Ellis, Zack Ellis and Damian Willard. Also 9 great grandchildren. 2 Brothers Andy Sammons and Haskell Fields. 6 sisters Rose mayhorn, Dixie McMasters, Dorothy Spaulding, Bonnie Hatfield, Lois Marcum and Eloise Leininger. She also had several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday July 26, 2011 at the James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alfred Setzer officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
