89Ms. Barbara L. Hicks 88 of Dingess passed awat Saturday February 12, 2011 at Trinity Healthcare Services at Henlawson. She was born August 10, 1922 at Phico. She was the daughter of the late George P. and Shrilda Duty Hicks. Barbara was a homemaker she was also under hospice care she alsom had been a christian for over 50 years of the Baptist faith. in addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one special daughter-in-law Margaret Finley Hager, a niece Nettie Jewell Newsome and nephew Clifford Hicks, brothers Luther Hicks, Merrick Hicks and Harold Hicks and sisters Bertha Prunsti and Erma Hicks Hager. Survivors include a special nephew who she raised from birth George Hager and George's daughter Connie Sue Hager, 2 great grandchildren Courtney Hager Mayhorn and Michael Baisden, nieces Della Ruggles, Lucille Avis, Barbara Hager, Rebecca Blankenship, Mary Caldwell, Christine Hager, Jeanetta Blankenship, Patricia Henritze, Florencetta Cook and Mildred Pruntsi, nephews Charlie Hager, Robert "Boe" Hager, Riley "Hacky" Hager, Johnny Hicks, Kenneth Hicks, Charles Hicks, Timmy Hicks, Ester Bolen, Carl Bolen, David Bolen and Mike Prunsti. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Booth officiating. She will be laid to rest with her mother and father at the Gore Cemetery at East Fork of Twelve Pole. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M.
