Bama (Pam) Lou Peyton

Bama Lou “Pam” Peyton, 94 of Ethel went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1925 at Logan to the late Joe and Rosalee Kinser Browning. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Peyton; son, Raymond Flemings; grandson, Dallas Flemings; as well as several brother and sisters. Bama Lou loved the Lord and was of strong Christian faith. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her life. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Deborah Flemings (Gene Hubbard); her grandchildren, Teresa Thompson, Steven Flemings, Pam (Ricky) Lowe; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews; very special friends she considered as her family, Joann and Rip Nelson, Connie Kirk, Betty Wells, and Eula Craft. She met everyone with a cheerful heart and was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She was a mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew and met her. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan with Pastor Josh Vanhook officiating, and Pastor Paul Tomblin will share some special memories. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 also at the funeral home.
