Augustine Bryant

Augustine Bryant, 90 of Holden, WV departed this life Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born October 3, 1929 at Kitchen, WV to the late Van Buren and Delphia Adkins Browning. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Billy F. Bryant; son, Billy F. Bryant Jr.; Twin sister, Geraldine Maynard; sisters, Imogene Brewster, Eva Brewster, Geneva Percy, Ethel Griffin, Gay McSweeney and Laura Heston; brothers, Elmer Eplin, Leonard Eplin, Claudie Eplin, John Browning, Junior Browning, and Forest “Bo” Browning. Augustine attended Chapmanville High School and retired from the Logan County Board of Education. She attended Central United Baptist Church and 5&6 Holden FWB Church. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Roger) Curry, Anita (Bruce) Weyenberg, Marsha LaVern Bryant, and Annie (Dan) Kramb; niece-sister, Gloria Lovejoy; grandchildren, Mark (Lori) Curry, Rene’ Gore, Jayson Gore, Angel (Scott) White, Scott (Ty) Bryant, Emily (Jesse) Rice, and Sarah Kramb; 31 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Guyan Memorial Gardens at Godby with Pastor Larry Light and Pastor Randy Skeens officiating.
