Arnold Lee TackettArnold Lee Tackett, 64, of Pecks Mill, peacefully entered his heavenly home on Monday, December 29, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. He was born May 27, 1950 at Harts, WV. He has the son of the late Dave Tackett and the late Zadie Morris Tackett. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Diana Lynn Farmer Tackett; two brothers: Herman Tackett and Vernon Bradley. He was a member of the Verdunville Church of God where he enjoyed working at the Appalachian Dream Center. Those left to cherish his memory was one son Matthew (Jill) Tackett of Monaville; two brothers: Arson (Loretta) Tackett of Harts and Grayling (Margie) Tackett, both of Harts, two sisters: Patty (Lysandrous) Mullins of Harts and Joyce Stamper of Hamlin; his mother-in-law Colleen Jeffrey of Huntington; three special friends: Bobbie May of Logan, Danny Morris and Dennis Scott, both of Boone County; and a host of friends and family. A celebration of life will be conducted on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Verdunville Church of God with Bishop Michael Hartwell and Evangelist Mike Manuel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill. Friends may call at the church from 11-1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Will miss Arnold. So glad we got a chance to spend time with him in New Mexico this summer. Heaven is sweeter now with him there.

Dear Matt and Jill, So sorry to hear about Arnold. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We knew Arnold was having tests run, but this came as such a shock. Arnold always met everyone with a hug and a smile. Thankful for so many cherished memories of Arnold and Diane. May God give you comfort and peace in the difficult days ahead. We love you all.
