Obituary

Tyler Scott Nelson, 26, husband of Whitney Nelson of Wellington, CO passed away on Monday June 8th, 2020 at his family's home. Tyler was born March 25th, 1994 in Logan, WV. He was the son of Willis Scott and Angie C. Nelson (Epperheart).

Tyler graduated from Logan Senior High School in 2012 along with two very special friends (late) Tyler Harrison and David Toney. Tyler married his high school sweetheart Whitney Nelson – the love of his life – and moved to Colorado with their three beautiful children: Bella (7), Chloe (2), and Denver (1). Tyler enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life from being varsity on the football and wrestling teams during high school to his love for motorcycles and mudding with his friends and family. Tyler was a family man with a heart of gold. He was loyal, kind, and always had a joke ready to make you feel right at home.

Tyler is lovingly remembered by his wife and children Whitney Nelson, Bella Nelson, Chloe Nelson, and Denver Nelson of Colorado, by his parents Scott and Angie Nelson of White's Addition, by his sister Tomi (Josh) Farmer of Logan, by his niece Aloura Farmer, by his grandmother Shirley Nelson of West Logan, by his grandparents Mary and Tommy Epperheart of White's Addition, mother-in-law, Ruby Regina (Chester) Stapleton, sister-in-law, Katlin (Trey) Ray, by his uncles and aunts Tommy (Jessica) Epperheart, Tammy (Greg) Tomblin, Steven (Amy) Epperheart, Jeff (Kristie) Epperheart, Bruce Epperheart, Katrina McNeely, and his brothers from other mothers Kyle Saunders, Kaleb Epperheart, Billy Hall, special cousins, Calvin Tomblin and Jared Robinette, as well a host of other loved ones. Tyler is preceded in death by his Papaw Willard Nelson.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held the following day.
