Pamela Spears, 59 of West Logan departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was born April 21, 1961 at Cherry Point, NC to the Kenneth “Whiz” and Janice (Jarrell) Chafin. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Keith Chafin, and nephew, James Chafin.

Pam enjoyed spending time with her family, being the “scanner queen” with Vickie, watching Judge Judy, and watching/feeding her squirrels, birds, and Lucky the turtle.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Jimmy Spears; children, Katrina (Joe) Chafin, Doug (Kim) Chapman, Tabitha (Whitney) Spears, Scottie (Heather) Spears, Steven (Stacy) Spears, Marsha (Jeremy) Fleming, and Jimmy Spears; grandchildren, Kirsten “Sugar Bear” Chafin, Austin Chapman, Timothy “Chubs” Lawrence, A’lara “Moo Moo” Spears, Gionna Chapman, Taylor Partlo, Katelyn Chapman, Trinity Spears, Jeremy “Jay Jay” Fleming, Tanner Spears, Aubrey “Monkey” Spears, Malaya Fleming, Steven “Jr” Spears, and Tucker Spears; sister, Kim (Chris) Smoot; brother, Dennis Chafin; nieces and nephews, Danielle (Kevin) Brown, Halie (Josh) Hall, Kenneth (Chasity) Abbott, Karen Barnhardt, Kenneth Chafin, Janice Chafin, and Cassie Chafin; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is also survived by special friends who were like family, Bonnie Blevins, Vickie Pennington, and Brenda Horvath.

The family would like to thank the staff of Pikeville Medical Center for the amazing comfort and care they gave her and the family during her final days. A very special thank you to her husband and granddaughter, Kirsten, for everything the did for her throughout her illness. Also, thank you to everyone that called, messaged, and prayed for her.

Per Pam’s request she will be cremated and there will be no services.

Jim L would like to say the Pam treated us as if she was our mom sweet and not kids. Gold then I believe she treated everybody as if she was their mom I want to thank the Lord for her and what she means to my family and myself and Jimmy also want to thank you for being my friend bringing me a coffee every morning and just being there watching over our business while we were going as if you was her Dad too I want you to know that I love you and my heart is broke for you nothing that I can say or do is going to take that pain away other than the fact the one day you shall see her in the portals of Glory I am doing this for my whole family I know it's kind of tough because my oldest boy it's already went to heaven and I believe you all loved him and took care of him like he was your child I pray the peace of God pass all understanding would flood each and every one of you got soul this is coming from my cell my wife my son Nikki my daughter Angie and Big Mike he seems to really be hurting right now but nothing compared to what you are going through and my daughter Desiree Jimmy I would like to say if y'all need anything Steven has Mike's phone number give us a call will do all of the weekend do cuz you all your whole family special to our hearts I love you my friend I know I said there's nothing that I could say that would take away your paint that I can see this save this it's going to take awhile but the pain will eventually go away let her memories and the memories you guys have for her will last you a lifetime I pray the Lord truly bless you guys and as I said if you need anything give us a call I will be there for you as you was there for us and again may the Lord truly bless you and your family
